I want to thank the (TPIYT INC ) for assisting me and my fiancé with obtaining housing. My fiancé and I were at a point in our lives where we both had no where to go and our families had no room to take us in their homes. So we decided to start from scratch and look for housing on our own. We decided to seek temporary housing until we saved enough money to get our own apartment. During the qualification period we had some complications, almost to the point of just giving up. We were denied over and over again, being told we lacked proper documentation to obtain temporary housing. We really felt like giving up, Then we ran into the Director and Founder of the Turning Point-It’s Your Turn Inc. we explained our situation to her and she said she might be able to help.
This came right on time for our last and final interview to produce the proper paper work to obtain temporary housing. The Turning Point gave us a letter.. This letter was no ordinary letter; this letter was exactly what we needed. This letter was looked at by the housing attorney who makes the decision if your eligible for temporary housing. After he read the letter he said we are now qualified then made a phone call to the director of the Turning Point Ms. Donna Samuels for verification.
Today my fiancé and I have a very nice 1 bedroom apartment in the Willamsburg section of the Bronx we are very happy and love our own apartment. We don't take life for granted anymore and were very humbled by this experience.

Turning Point -It's Your Turn Inc. is just what I needed in my life to make the right connections. As a single mother of two, employed full time, I was running on empty. The warm staff at Turning Point-It's Your Turn Inc. allowed me to recognize that it's okay for me to take a break and utilize effective time management skills to maintain all my obligations with a much needed spiritual approach. Due to the kindness of Ms. Samuels and her staff, I was able to successfully "pull it together" and alleviate some of the weight of doing things all alone without support. I have continued utilizing workshops, and individual support to assist me in both my professional and personal struggles. Turning Point-It's Your Turn Inc. is a resource that I can count on; they meet me just were I am at in my life and provide me with hope and support to be successful. Thank You for being there!! Before I attended Turning Point- It’s Your Turn Inc., my was life was boring and a tremendous struggle. Not only was I struggling with my recovery from drugs, but my life was in shambles as well. I was on food stamps and received minimal funds from public assistance for my son and I. I needed something more to make it through life Sometimes I would starve so that my son would eat! God introduced me to a Sister named Donna Samuels who’s the Founder she invited me to the Turning Point -It”s Your Turn Inc.
Turning Point- It’s Your turn Inc. groups made me more disciplined. I learned dedication, devotion, worship, how to live life on life's terms, and I also learned to dream. Because of the support of its members, I now have a Bachelor” s Degree in Sociology and Applied Behavioral Science and graduate Magna Cum Laude. (TPIYT) epitomizes lasting relationships, faith, devotion and perseverance Today, I am involved with a community advocate group that is trying to turn the community around using the book "Come on People" by Bill Cosby and Alvin Poussant, M.D.a

I writing this letter to thank the “Turning Point- It’s Your Turn Services” for understanding my housing issues and providing me with information and applications for qualified housing. As a result, I have been on interviews for housing and have applications pending with other housing providers. I was despondent about my inadequate housing situation and the professional council from; The Turning point- it’s your turn Services was a tremendous help. Also, I was inspired by the organization’s commitment to help others and have volunteered at the organization’s events this past summer. I hope to become a counselor at TPIYT. The director (Ms. Donna Samuels) said that the organization could assist me with that too. This could be the path to a new career for me.
Turning Point-Its Your Turn, Inc (TPIYT) had a beneficial impact on my life. Before the Turning Point I was lost on a dark path with almost no direction and little faith in anything. I was indirectly consumed to violent fits of anger that were very controlling in my life as well as suffering a deep seated depression that had lead me to several cases of suicidal imagery and actions. This continued until September 15, 2010 when I was reached out to by members of a small ministry housed in Rozier Temple COGIC known as the Turning Point where I met with the current standing President Donna Samuels and immediately I was welcomed by the members with a spiritual understanding of God and what He has planned for me. It was on that day during a bible study session among members of the church that I truly started to feel a major "turn" in the right direction.
TPIYT showed me ways of fully understanding where I was in life by looking at my situations for what they were and giving it to the true reliever of all situations: Jesus Christ. TPIYT is effective in my life as it gave me a desire to know God’s word and truly become involved with God's disciples among the TPIYT by placing me as a minor member alongside others who were like myself: sophisticated, educated and eloquent in understanding God's Truth. By accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of my life TPIYT taught me about being conducive in applying the Word of God into my daily life and not just from within a church building. The services provided were an incredible glimpse of the real picture by the members revealing their life stories and past experiences to show that they were able to change and that it's not impossible to do the same. Granted my situation was totally different from the other members, they have still led to the same conclusion, which was straying away from the darkness of the past and into the light of God's Grace.
In conclusion, my life has indeed evolved since the TPIYT has accepted me as a member. As a result I am able to work alongside the members to assist individuals who are dealing in similar and/or different circumstances by using past experiences and the Word of God to give them a chance to see the light. The Turning Point-Its Your Turn, Inc is a company inspired by God for God's people to have a another chance to live in the light of Jesus Christ because with God it is always truth over ideals.
